Fourth meeting in October -- Greg Kane came to explain Project Lead the Way -- major initiative in East Hartford Middle and High Schools, inspired by Rotary -- E H Rotary has committed to funding teacher-training for this vital program in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009.

Second meeting in October, Vocational Service Month, Steve Jacoby organized a day of "students' shadowing" Rotarians -- all involved including EHHS Guidance Counselor Frank Staples just left of Steve, and Ralph Gray, Business & Finance teacher, just left of Bill Saunders in photo below.

 

Wednesday, September 12th was District Governor's visit to East Hartford Rotary:

After speaking to the club September 12th, DG Dick signs a book being donated
 to a local library in his name while wife, Rita, looks on. 
Coincidentally, his speech concluded with the importance of literacy to all of Rotary's other goals.
