Notes for those who are willing to edit High Gear --

High Gear reports the weekly meeting of our East Hartford Rotary Club. Included in each edition are such things as: Who presided? Who gave the blessing? What was on the menu? Announcements -- especially upcoming events. Who made up meetings and where? Names and Clubs of any visitors. Who got fined? Who won the raffle? Speaker's name, credentials, and summary of remarks.

Humor and wisdom are appreciated but should not be insulting or in bad taste. High Gear is a public document and a history source for future generations of East Hartford Rotary

Each week let President Bill know that you are present and writing High Gear. He may have special items for High Gear. We encourage EH Rotarians to give you written notes including name of a guest, other important information. You also can encourage that. Makes the job easier.

If you cannot write High Gear on any of your assigned dates, try to swap dates with another High Gear editor. This is your responsibility.

Copy should be "camera-ready," i.e. prepared on a typewriter or word processor, and should fit on one side of the 8 1/2 x 14 sheet of paper which has the Rotary logo and other info pre-printed on it. (Questions: call Brescia's or your committee chair.)

**When you e-mail High Gear to Brescia’s, in the e-note to them include your name AND a phone number where they can call you right away if there is any problem. If you have a computer or internet malfunction, be sure to let Peter and Sue know, and arrange to get a copy of High Gear to them for emailing it to club and posting on the website. You can fax camera-ready copy to them at 860-657-8727, but this is only in an emergency when email will not work.
