The Rotary Club of East Hartford 6494 -- 81 years young on March 28,  2009!  "Service above self," includes Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service and International Service.  The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.   The vision of Rotary International is to be universally recognized for its commitment to Service Above Self to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.  Rotary's core values, our guiding principles -- Service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership -- are reflected in The Four Way Test.  The Rotary Club of East Hartford, Inc. is a member of Rotary International and is  94 members strong, as of June 1, 2008 -- including our best and brightest -- honorary members, Bill Flynn, PP, Roger Nicholson, PP, Albee Trieber and last but certainly never least, Ruth Sheehan, PDG-first spouse and PH. And, as Past President Bill says: "This is another good day to be a Rotarian!"

Check out the three-page site at www.rotary.org/endpolio.  All funds raised will go directly to The Rotary Foundation in support of polio eradication. N.B. Rotarians should continue to contribute through the Member Access Portal at www.rotary.org. But do tell non-Rotarians with whom you discuss our efforts to eradicate polio about this way to learn more AND to help.
